Are you being sanctified or are you sanctified? Lets pick up our King James Bible and see what it has to say about these matters. Hebrews 10:14 says “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified” Now this scripture rubs alot of holiness, pentecostal and charismatic people the wrong way so in order to justify a false doctrine the Bible does not teach(Namely that one has to be saved,THEN gets sanctified as a second work of grace apart from salvation) they will abandon the King James Bible and run to a counterfeit one such as the New King James Bible and use it as an alibi to teach what the Bible does not teach. NKJV reads as follows “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who ARE BEING sanctified.” The truth of the matter is my friend you got sanctified by Christ the moment you got saved or else you are not saved period. The term means to set apart from something(The world/sin) and be set apart to something(God/work for God’s Kingdom) God did this at conversion and now works out what He worked in you at conversion. It is by GRACE my friend and there is nothing you and I can do to add to that. We cannot work ourselves into a state of sanctification. He does the work!!
