The Colors of The Tabernacle

I. White(fine linen) Symbolizes the following:
A. Purity – Hebrews 4:15; 1 John 3:5; 1 Peter 2:22; Isaiah 1:18; Daniel 12:10.
B. Righteousness – 2 Corinthians 5:21; Revelation 7:14; Revelation 19:8; Revelation 3:4 – 5, 18
C. Holiness – The High Priest’s garments were white symbolizing the holiness of God. Leviticus 16:4, 32; Ecclesiastes 9:8; Daniel 7:9; Hebrews 7:26; Mark 9:3; Matthew 17:2.
II. Blue Symbolizes the following:
Heavenly nature – Jesus came from Heaven and is there now surrounded by sapphires(blue)

III. Purple(a mixture of blue and scarlet) Symbolizes the following:
A. Royalty and Kingship – Kings wear purple and it is a symbol of royalty. Judges 8:26; Esther 1:5 – 6; Esther 8:15; Song of Solomon 3:10; Song of Solomon 7:5; 1 Timothy 6:15; Revelation 17:14; Revelation 19:6, 12, 14, 16; John 19:2; Matthew 27:37; Mark 15:15, 26; Luke 23:38; John 19:14, 19, 1 – 3.
B. High birth – Matthew 2:1 – 2; Psalm 132; Micah 5:1 – 2
IV. Scarlet Symbolizes the following:
A. Sacrifice/blood shed – Hebrews 10:10, 12, 14, 12 – 20; Hebrews 9:12, 14, 26, 28; Hebrews 9:19 – 22; Romans 3:25; Romans 5:9; Hebrews 13:12; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 2:13; Colossians 1:14, 20; 1 Peter 1:18 – 19; 1 Corinthians 5:7.
