The Work of The Holy Spirit in Relation to The Believer
1. The Holy Spirit assures the believer of Sonship and makes him like Jesus Christ. (Galatians 4:6, Romans 8:16-17)
2. The Holy Spirit seals the believer as a pledge or earnest of future glory. (2 Corinthians 1:22, Ephesians 1:13-14) The predestination is absolute. It has nothing to do with Salvation. Two times the word predestination occurs in your Bible. 1. Predestination to an adoption 2. Being predestined to be conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ. Both times it occurs it is in relation to a man who has already received Christ, not of a person before they receive Christ. The destination of the believer is absolutely fixed, certain and infallible.
3. The Holy Spirit fills the believer with Himself giving a victorious life. (Ephesians 5:18, Acts 4:31) When a person is filled with the Holy Spirit they will go out and spread Jesus Christ all over the neighborhood.
4. The Holy Spirit sanctifies the believer. (2 Thessalonians 2:13, 1 Peter 1:2) The Holy Spirit sets him apart from the world and reserves him for God’s use.
5. The Holy Spirit continually abides in the believer. (John 14:16)
6. The Holy Spirit takes the Word of God and teaches the believer. (John 14:26)
7. The Holy Spirit brings all things to remembrance that have been faithfully learned according to John 14:26.
8. The Holy Spirit testifies to the believer regarding Jesus Christ. He constantly is revealing Christ. (John 14:26)
9. The Holy Spirit guides the believer into all truth. (John 16:13) Believers should constantly be in tune with the Holy Spirit. (John 8:32, John 14:6, 2 Timothy 3:7) The cure for error is to have a love for the truth. That truth is found in the Word of God. (John 17:17) When a person ceases to love the truth and ceases to seek the truth he will go into error.
10.The Holy Spirit takes our bodies and glorified Christ in them and through them according to John 16:14.
11.The Holy Spirit takes the things of Christ and reveals them to us according to John 16:14.

21.The Holy Spirit leads the believer out from under the law to liberty in Christ. (Galatians 5:18)
22.The Holy Spirit is the one who causes us to bear the fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-23) *Note – The shift has turned today in many Christian circles from the fruit of the Spirit to the gift of the Spirit. There are two reasons for that. 1. Carnality has saturated the body of Christ just like at Corinth in Paul’s day. 2. It is much easier to pretend that you have something that you don’t have (the gifts) than it is to bear fruit. Fruit is how you can identify a tree, not gifts! (Proverbs 25:14)
23.The Holy Spirit can give us a holy walk as we are led by him. (Galatians 5:25)
24.The Holy Spirit assists us in putting away the things that displease our Father. (Ephesians 4:30-32)

38.The Holy Spirit can even lead in the details of the believer’s life and service if we are to believe. (Matthew 4:1, Romans 8:14)
39.The Holy Spirit makes genuine access to the Father in Heaven so that we can walk right into the throne room with our petitions without going through an intermediary according to Ephesians 2:18.
