Isaiah or The Prophets?
Mark1:2 says “As it is written in the prophets, Behold, i send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.”(KJV). Now any of the modern versions such as NASB,NIV,Amplified,NWT etc say something different in order to hide a reference to the Deity of Jesus Christ. Lets take a look shall we.. NASB for example says “As it is written in the book of Isaiah the Prophet..”. But lets examine the passage Mark is quoting in Verse 2. When you look up the OT passage it is actually a reference to Malachi 3:1 not Isaiah! Read and compare! What they do not want you to see is that Malachi identifies Jesus as Jehovah of the OT! Look carefully at the two passages. “Thy” in Mark cross references back to “Me” in Malachi and the “Me” in that verse is referring to The LORD(Jehovah) of Host!! It is very plain to see unless you have a Bible that corrupts the passage!! Now another point to be made is this. Look at verse 3 of mark 1. That verse is a reference to an OT passage in Isaiah40:3. Isaiah as well identifies Jesus as “Our God” in that prophecy. The reason Mark uses the term Prophets plural is because he is quoting more that one prophet! Even a kindergarten student could see this folks!!
