In Zephaniah 3:1-2 we read “Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city! She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God.” What a statement!! First she obeyed not THE voice! notice it did not say just any voice but THE voice! Friend there is only ONE voice we should be following and that is THE voice of Jesus Christ found in HIS Word! John 10:27 says “My sheep hear my VOICE and I know them and they follow me!” There are a lot of voices in the world today and even in the churches but we must obey His Voice found in His Word! Let God be true and every man a liar!! Second she received not correction. That describes America, our children, our churches, and half the preachers in American pulpits who are perverting the words of the living God!(Jeremiah 23:36, Proverbs 30:11-14, Zephaniah 3:3-5). Third she trusted not in the Lord! That says it all! We dont think we need God anymore because we can make it on our own terms and in our own way! What a foolish foolish people we have become in America!! God will bring us back to our knees when His wrath is poured out on us!! (Revelation 3:16-18) We are a naked people! We need to be clothed with the precious Blood once again as a nation! I weep for this nation in all its haughtiness and that spirit has invaded our churches so I weep for our churches even more! We refuse to witness, we refuse to take a stand for what is right, We refuse to be what God has commanded us to be! Instead we rather not offend anyone and please everyone!!! Finally she drew not near to her God! Friends we must go back to Calvary and do our first works and fall in love with God and renew our first love! That is what i had to do and I love Him more now than ever and His Word which I will die defending is more precious to me than the finest mansion this world could offer!! Let me ever Love Him who is Faithful and True and redeem those wasted years I spent grieving His Holy Spirit!! May God help us as a people to find an ALTAR and get things right before it is too late!!
