Confess Your Faults, Not Your Sins
Do you “confess your faults to one another “or do you “confess your trespasses(sins) to one another” as the damnable heresy called confession as taught by the Roman Catholic church teaches? Lets take a look at James 5:16 and see what the Bible has to say and then see how the Bible correctors pervert this passage. The Bible says “Confess your FAULTS one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Now the NKJV says “Confess your TRESPASSES to one another and pray for one another that you may be healed. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” Now the Bible tells us to confess our trespasses and sins to God alone(Luke 11:4;Psalm 51:1 John 1:7-9,and 1 John 2:1) and we are never told to confess our sins to man (unless you are a Roman Catholic). They have changed the passage to line up with Catholic theology and in so doing made the Bible to say something it never has said!! Faults as anyone knows is short comings among Christians and as such we confess to one another our faults. Our sins on the other hand are personal and that is a matter that is between the individual and God. Even David regarded his sin as a personal matter that was between him and God alone. Read it in Psalm 51.
